GSWPGA is a highly collaborative and supportive organization that comes together to promote fun, friendly competition for women golfers.
About GSWPGA
The Greater Seattle Women's Public Golf Association (GSWPGA) was founded in 1950 to promote friendly tournament competition for amateur women golfers. This is the premier opportunity to meet other female golfers from around the greater Seattle area and play at their home courses while having great fun! GSWPGA hosts an executive board, monthly tournaments, and a city championship.
We currently have ten member clubs. These are the women's clubs of Bellevue, Jackson Park, Bill Wright @ Jefferson, Maplewood, Mount Si, Nile Shrine, Riverbend, Snoqualmie Falls, West Seattle and Evergreen Women's Golf League.
Individual members can compete in our monthly competitions, which tour through the greater Seattle area courses. Additionally, eight of the ten clubs compete in our match-play formatted Team Competition.
How to Join GSWPGA
As an individual, simply join one of member clubs. (You can find the club websites on the home page.)
If your club wants to join GSWPGA, please email GSWPGAInfo@gmail.com.
Membership in the Association may be held by organized clubs in the Greater Seattle area of any 18-hole public golf course or any 9-hole public golf course, played as 18 holes from different tees or to different flags. Wikipedia defines the Seattle Metropolitan area as: includes the city of Seattle, King County, Snohomish County, and Pierce County within the Puget Sound region.
Member clubs must:
Have a Constitution, By-Laws and an elected Board of Officers.
Nominate a GSWPGA Vice-President per the rotation published in the Standing Rules.
Host the two-day GSWPGA City Championship per the rotation published in the Standing Rules.
